Fantasy Baseball Scoring System
In fantasy sport baseball, your team earns points based on the real actions of players in real baseball games. You independently choose a lineup of baseball players from different teams, and their performance in the game directly affects your results. The game's scoring system is designed to emphasize the importance of each baseball action, balancing the offensive and defensive aspects of the game.
For batters (players who hit)
Points are awarded for:
- Hits - each successful hit of the ball (single, double, triple or home run) gives a different number of points: the more difficult the action to perform, the higher its value.
- RBI (Runs Batted In) - when a player helps teammates score points.
- Runs - if a player successfully reaches home base after passing all four.
- Stolen Bases - an active and risky action that gives additional points.
- Home runs are the highest-scoring offensive action.
Penalties can be awarded for:
- Strikeouts - each time a player is knocked out without a result reduces the total points.
- Caught Stealing - if an attempt to steal a base fails.
For pitchers (players who pitch the ball)
Points are awarded for:
- Strikeouts - every time a pitcher strikes out an opponent.
- Innings without losing a run - control of the game and effective defense.
- A pitcher's victory (Win) - when his team wins while he is on the field.
- Save - when a pitcher defends the lead in the last innings.
Penalties can be awarded for:
- Runs lost - the more runs the opponent scores, the more points the pitcher loses.
- Walks (bases on points) - giving the opponent the opportunity to go further without a hit.
- Hit by pitch — if the pitcher hits the opponent with the ball.
Captain and Vice-Captain
Each round, the player chooses a team captain, whose points are doubled. If the captain does not participate in the game, the vice-captain is activated, whose result is multiplied by 1.5. This adds strategic depth to the game and even greater importance of lineup selection.
This rating system makes the game fair, balanced and exciting. It takes into account the key elements of baseball, allows you to analyze, take risks, change tactics and be as involved in the process as possible. In Fanny Baseball, every point is the result of your strategy and sports intuition.
